A one-day post-conference field trip to the Devonian of the Eastern Taurus in the Feke-Saimbeyli area is also planned. In this field trip, sites of the lower and upper boundary of the 1000 m thick Devonian succession, respectively with Silurian and Carboniferous strata, typical outcrops of lithological, paleontological and facial properties of Lower, Middle and Upper Devonian will be visited. Furthermore, along a complete profile the development of the entire Devonian sequence with respect to sedimentology and facies will be studied, including some of the Devonian global events.
